Silica and three AHAs smooth and resurface the nail plate, niacinamide stimulates keratin production, and patented chestnut extract reinforces the nail structure. The result is a velvety matte finish that blurs imperfections visually from day one, with clinical data showing 96% of users saw nails looking better at three weeks. The one I'd reach for on uneven, recovering, or ridge-prone nails.

1. Apply directly to bare nails — no base coat or top coat required.
2. For a light perfecting veil, apply one coat. For a fuller blurring effect, apply two coats.
3. Allow to air-dry.
4. Can be layered with other Active shades for a customised result.
5. Remove with a gentle nail polish remover. Do not use under or over Green Flash LED gel polish.

Active Smooth creates a natural satin finish that fills ridges visually. Active Blur combines silica with three AHAs to resurface the nail, plus niacinamide and patented chestnut extract for structural strengthening. It also has a velvety matte finish where Active Smooth is more of a satin. Clinically tested with 96% of users seeing improvement at 21 days.
Yes. Niacinamide applied topically stimulates keratin and collagen production in the nail matrix, supporting stronger nail growth over time. Most people associate niacinamide with skincare, but the mechanism applies to nails too. Combined with the chestnut extract and AHAs, this is the most active formula in the Manucurist range.
Matte finishes can show chips more visibly than gloss because they're easier to see on a flat surface. A base coat helps with adhesion and extends wear. A top coat is not recommended as it would remove the matte blurring effect.
Like any standard nail polish — apply remover to a cotton pad, hold over the nail for a few seconds, and wipe off. No soaking, no filing, no lamp required for removal. The formula removes as easily as standard polish despite having more active ingredients.
