Why It's Phare Approved

These pads combine the AlphaRet molecule (retinoid bonded to lactic acid) with additional glycolic acid and salicylic acid into a concentrated peel format. It's more intensive than the overnight cream, for when patients have been using AlphaRet for a while and want to push the exfoliation further without committing to clinic peels. Individually wrapped, so each pad is at full potency. Three times a week in the evening. If you're on the cream already and your skin has adjusted, these are the logical next step.

What is Phare Approved?

1. Use in the evening only, after cleansing.
2. Use up to three times a week. If new to acids or retinoids, start once a week and build up.
3. Wipe the pad across your face in small circular motions, avoiding the eye area and lips. Each pad has two usable sides, so fold it over and use the other side on another evening or pass it on.
4. Leave on. Do not rinse.
5. Wait a few minutes, then apply moisturiser if needed. Always wear SPF the next morning.

No. The AlphaRet molecule contains a retinoid, and retinoids are not safe to use during pregnancy. Stop using the pads as soon as you find out you're pregnant and they're safe to resume once your pregnancy is over. During pregnancy, the P-TIOX serum is a good alternative for continued exfoliation without the retinoid.
Yes, though they work best as an add-in to an established AlphaRet routine. If you haven't used AlphaRet before, the Overnight Cream is a better starting point: use it nightly for a few weeks until your skin has adjusted, then introduce the pads up to three times a week on top. Starting with the pads as your first AlphaRet product is possible but requires more careful frequency management to avoid over-exfoliating.
No need to rinse. Apply, wait a few minutes, then follow with moisturiser if needed.
Don't layer them with other retinoids or AHAs in the same routine. Use the pads on their own in the evening, followed by moisturiser. If you're using prescription tretinoin, use the pads on alternate evenings rather than the same night. Vitamin C goes in your morning routine and pairs well with AlphaRet at night.
