UV damage is the single biggest cause of premature skin ageing and pigmentation, and yet most people skip SPF or under-apply because the formulas they've tried felt heavy, white, or irritating. Anthelios addresses both. The MEXORYL 400 filter blocks the long UVA wavelengths most sunscreens miss, the wavelengths that drive pigmentation and photoageing, and the texture is light enough that most people forget they're wearing it. At €25, it's also affordable enough to use generously, which matters because most people don't apply enough. It's what I wear and what I recommend to every patient with pigmentation concerns.

1. SPF is the icing on the cake, the last step in your morning routine before makeup.
2. Apply two finger lengths to your face. Use more for neck, chest, and any other exposed skin.
3. Press evenly into face and neck, including eyelids and behind the ears.
4. Wait one to two minutes for it to set before applying makeup.
5. Reapply every two hours if you're outside, after sweating, or after swimming.

SPF 50+ is the safer call. Studies consistently show people apply about a quarter of the amount needed to actually get the protection on the label. Starting at 50+ gives a buffer so that even under-applying gets you close to the protection of a well-applied SPF 30. It also tends to offer slightly more UVA protection.
No, but give it a minute to set before going in with foundation or concealer. The texture is lightweight and absorbs into the skin rather than sitting on top, which is what causes most SPFs to pill.
