Why It's Phare Approved

Most people apply far less SPF than needed to get the labelled protection, which is why I'm more interested in SPFs people will apply generously than those with the highest SPF number on paper. Protect Me SPF 30 is the one I recommend for everyday body use: nourishing enough to feel comfortable, light enough that it doesn't feel like sun cream. Jojoba, apricot kernel, and Vitamin E condition alongside the UV protection. At €39 for 150ml, it's affordable enough to use properly.

Apply generously to face and body before sun exposure and massage until absorbed. Reapply frequently to maintain protection, at least every two hours, and especially after sweating, swimming or towel-drying.

SPF 50 offers marginally more protection in laboratory conditions, but in real-world use the gap narrows when both are applied correctly and reapplied regularly. SPF 30 is sufficient for most everyday activity. SPF 50 is the better choice for prolonged direct exposure, high altitude, or near reflective surfaces like water and snow.
