Cell renewal slows from your mid-thirties, which is when most people notice that their routine isn't doing what it used to. This serum works by accelerating the turnover cycle with a combination of glycolic, lactic, mandelic, and salicylic acids at concentrations calibrated for daily use. Every other product in the routine works better for it, pores stay clearer, and skin tone evens out more quickly. I use it before my vitamin C every morning, and I recommend it to patients who feel they've plateaued with their current actives.

1. Apply once daily on dry skin after cleansing, before your other serums. Can be used morning or evening.
2. Dispense one third of a dropper onto fingertips and smooth evenly over face and neck.
3. Follow immediately with your vitamin C or other serums, then moisturiser and SPF.
4. If you are new to acids or mid-retinoid adjustment, start every other day and build up gradually.

Skin cells complete a renewal cycle roughly every 28 days in younger skin, but this slows with age. Topical AHAs like glycolic acid accelerate this cycle, meaning dead cells shed faster, new cells surface sooner, and the overall appearance of skin improves. The formula is designed to speed up what happens naturally, not introduce anything new to the skin.
It is designed to be layered with other actives. Apply Cell Cycle Catalyst first on dry skin, then your vitamin C on top in the morning. Keep your retinoid in a separate evening routine. The only situation where it becomes too much is if you are already using a separate standalone AHA or BHA exfoliant. In that case, replace it with this rather than stacking both.
Start every other day and build up. The acid concentrations are calibrated for daily use, but if your barrier is compromised or you are in the early weeks of a retinoid, give your skin time to adjust first. Avoid using the same evening as a separate exfoliating treatment.
Glycolic and lactic acids at cosmetic concentrations are considered safe during pregnancy when applied topically to the face. The salicylic acid is at a low cosmetic dose.
