A lightweight oil-based vitamin C serum from Irish brand Doctrine, formulated with 2% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Hemisqualane, rosehip oil, seabuckthorn, vitamin E and a blend of botanical oils. Clinically proven to increase collagen production by 25% compared to a market leader.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is one of the best-tolerated and most stable forms of vitamin C, absorbing readily without the pH sensitivity of L-ascorbic acid. Hemisqualane from sugarcane locks in moisture without heaviness. Rosehip and seabuckthorn add fatty acid nourishment alongside the antioxidant action. An Irish brand worth supporting with a formula that punches well above its price point.

1. Use in the morning after cleansing.
2. Apply 2 to 3 drops to clean, dry skin and press gently into face and neck.
3. Allow to absorb fully before applying moisturiser.
4. Follow with SPF as the final step. Vitamin C and SPF work synergistically for maximum antioxidant protection.
5. Can be used in the evening also if desired.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THD Ascorbate) is an oil-soluble, stable form of vitamin C that does not oxidise readily, meaning the serum stays effective throughout the bottle rather than degrading. It also does not require the low pH environment that pure L-ascorbic acid needs to be effective, making it much less likely to sting or irritate sensitive skin.

Yes. Vitamin C and retinol work well in the same routine when applied at different times. Use the Radiant C Serum in the morning and retinol in the evening. Both increase photosensitivity, so daily SPF is non-negotiable when using either.
Vitamin C is considered safe during pregnancy. However, this formula contains essential oils including sweet orange, lemon myrtle, may chang and seabuckthorn, and there is some general guidance to use essential oil-containing products with caution during pregnancy. Check with Dr Laura or your midwife before use if pregnant.
