Most people who try vitamin C and give up on it have tried the wrong form. Standard L-ascorbic acid needs bone-dry skin, stings on application, oxidises within weeks, and causes irritation even at mid-range concentrations. THD Ascorbate is oil-soluble, which means it penetrates deeper, stays stable for much longer, and tolerates morning and evening use on all skin types. At 3% it delivers consistent antioxidant protection, brightening and collagen support without the irritation that makes most people abandon their vitamin C after a month.

1. Use morning and evening, after cleansing and before moisturiser.
2. Apply a small amount to face, neck and the backs of your hands.
3. Allow to absorb, then follow with moisturiser. Always finish with SPF in the morning.
4. If using a retinoid at night, apply this serum first, allow a minute to absorb, then apply your retinoid on top.

Yes. THD Ascorbate and standard L-Ascorbic Acid cannot be compared by percentage directly. THD Ascorbate is oil-soluble, so it crosses the skin barrier more efficiently and reaches deeper layers than water-soluble forms can. It's also used twice daily rather than once, which doubles the exposure. Studies comparing the two forms show 3% THD Ascorbate delivers comparable antioxidant and brightening results to much higher concentrations of L-Ascorbic Acid, with significantly less irritation.
Almost certainly. Standard L-Ascorbic Acid needs a low pH to stay stable, and it's that acidity that causes most reactions on sensitive skin. THD Ascorbate is neutral in pH and the formula also contains Bisabolol (a chamomile derivative) to calm inflammation. The one caveat: the formula contains Citrus essential oils, which are potential allergens for very fragrance-reactive skin. If that applies to you, patch test on the inner arm first.
Yes. None of the ingredients are contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding. THD Ascorbate is a Vitamin C derivative and is considered safe. If you've had to drop your retinoid during pregnancy, this is a good option for continued daily antioxidant protection.
Yes. Apply this serum first after cleansing, allow a minute to absorb, then apply your retinoid or other actives on top. It layers well with AHAs, BHAs and prescription actives without needing to be moved to a different routine. In the morning it sits under SPF, which is where all antioxidants belong anyway.
