Skinbetter Science specifically recommend the Intensive for those who have completed one to two bottles of the standard AlphaRet Overnight Cream, for those with thicker skin or established retinoid tolerance, and for those still experiencing texture concerns after using the standard version. Do not start with the Intensive if you're new to retinoids.

The AlphaRet molecule is specifically formulated to minimise irritation even at higher concentrations. This is the whole point of the technology. However, the higher Glycolic Acid level makes the Intensive more potent, so skin that's not adequately prepared may experience more sensitivity. Establish tolerance with the standard first.

This is a corrective overnight treatment rather than a moisturiser. For most skin types the hydrating blend provides sufficient overnight moisture. For very dry skin, apply a separate moisturiser on top if needed.
