Wet hair is at its most fragile, and the friction from rubbing a standard cotton towel through it is one of the most common causes of cuticle damage and frizz that people don't trace back to the towel. Microfibre works differently: the fibres are fine enough to absorb water on contact without dragging across the hair shaft, which is what reduces the roughness and frizz you'd otherwise get. It also cuts drying time, which means less time under heat if you blow-dry. An easy swap with a noticeable result.

1. After washing, gently squeeze excess water from your hair. Don't rub.
2. Lay the towel flat, flip your hair forward into the centre, and wrap up and around.
3. Secure and leave for 10 to 20 minutes to absorb excess moisture.
4. Remove and air-dry or blow-dry as usual.
5. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener, which clogs the fibres and reduces absorbency over time.
