Once a week is plenty for maintenance. If your cuticles are very dry or overgrown, you can use it more frequently until they're under control, then drop to weekly or fortnightly.

Don't leave it on for significantly longer than directed. The potassium hydroxide is effective at the recommended contact time, and leaving it on too long can cause mild irritation to the surrounding skin. If it starts to tingle, rinse sooner.

Cutting is generally not recommended as it can lead to infection and stimulates more growth. Pushing back after softening is the safer approach and what this product is designed for.
