Combing wet hair with a fine-tooth comb or brush is one of the most common causes of breakage that people don't realise they're doing. Wet hair has almost no structural resistance, and a narrow tooth catches at each knot and pulls rather than gliding through. Wide-tooth combs distribute the tension across a larger section of hair at once, which is why they're the right tool for wet detangling. At €8, there's no reason not to have one.
