An anti-static styling comb for creating soft waves, brushing out curls, and sectioning without frizz.
NO STATIC OR FRIZZ: The anti-static design prevents the charge that causes hair to puff out or cling as you style.
CREATES SOFT WAVES: The tooth spacing is designed for building volume and soft waves rather than straight-through combing.
BRUSHES OUT CURLS NATURALLY: Separates curls and adds movement without making them look over-combed or fluffy.
PRECISE SECTIONING: Wide enough to section cleanly for colour, treatments, or styling without snagging.
Most combs drag through the hair and create static as you work, which is what produces frizz and flyaways after styling. The Wave Comb's anti-static design lets you section and style without adding unwanted texture or electricity to the hair. It's what I use at home for brushing out curls when I want the look to stay natural rather than fluffed. Works equally well for achieving waves, sectioning before a treatment, or separating curls without disturbing the pattern.
1. Use on dry or nearly dry styled hair.
2. For waves: starting at the roots, lift and comb through in slow, sweeping motions to create volume and movement.
3. For brushing out curls: work from ends upward in gentle passes, separating the curl pattern without over-combing.
4. For sectioning: use the pointed end of the comb to create clean, precise parts before styling or applying treatments.
5. The anti-static coating means less product needed to manage flyaways after styling.
The anti-static coating is the key difference. A standard comb creates friction and a static charge as it moves through the hair, which is what causes frizz and flyaways after combing. The Wave Comb neutralises that charge as you work, so the result stays smooth.
It can be used on damp hair with a detangling product, but it performs best on dry or nearly dry hair when creating waves or working through curls. For wet detangling, The Original or Baby Belle is more suitable.
Yes. Work from roots to ends in lifting motions rather than smoothing passes to build volume. The anti-static effect means the volume holds without the usual static-induced frizz that undoes it.
Yes. The tooth spacing is wide enough not to drag or stress fine hair, and the anti-static design makes it gentler than most combs on fragile or colour-treated hair.
