Dry hair is usually either losing moisture faster than it can retain it, or the hair shaft has been damaged enough that it can't hold moisture at all. Most conditioners sit on the surface; a mask penetrates further and replenishes what's been lost. The Moisture Melt combines shea butter, argan oil, and hydrolyzed wheat protein to address both moisture and structural damage at the same time. I recommend it weekly for anyone whose hair feels rough or over-processed regardless of how much conditioner they use.

1. After shampooing, squeeze excess water from your hair.
2. Apply generously from mid-lengths to ends. For very dry or damaged hair, apply from roots to ends.
3. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes. For deeper conditioning, wrap in a warm towel.
4. Rinse thoroughly with cool water to seal the hair cuticle.
5. Use once or twice a week in place of conditioner, or on top of it for extra dry hair.

It shouldn't, as long as you concentrate it on mid-lengths and ends rather than the roots. The formula rinses clean rather than leaving a heavy coating. For very fine hair, leave it on for 5 minutes rather than 10 and avoid the roots entirely.
Conditioners primarily detangle and smooth the surface. A mask contains higher concentrations of actives formulated to penetrate further into the hair shaft, which is what makes the difference when hair is genuinely dry rather than just needing to be managed.
