Apply generously and evenly to the face, neck and all sun-exposed areas of the body at least 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure. Pay particular attention to sensitive and frequently missed areas — ears, back of neck, bald scalp, back of hands. Reapply every two hours during sun exposure, and more frequently after swimming, sweating or towel drying. For effective protection, apply 2mg per cm² — most people apply significantly less than this, which substantially reduces SPF efficacy. This product does not replace other protective measures — seek shade during peak hours and wear protective clothing. If using as adjunctive treatment for actinic keratosis, use under medical supervision.

Actinic keratosis is a pre-cancerous skin condition caused by cumulative UV damage to keratinocytes — the surface cells of the skin. It appears as rough, scaly patches, most commonly on the face, scalp, ears, back of hands and areas of long-term sun exposure. If untreated, it can progress to squamous cell carcinoma, a form of non-melanoma skin cancer. People most at risk include those with fair skin, a history of significant sun exposure, outdoor occupations, and anyone who has had previous actinic keratosis or skin cancer.
SPF50 blocks approximately 98% of UVB rays. SPF100 blocks approximately 99%. While that sounds like a marginal difference, at the clinical level it means half the UV radiation reaching the skin compared to SPF50 under equivalent conditions. For people managing actinic keratosis or at elevated skin cancer risk, that additional protection is clinically meaningful over cumulative daily exposure.
