Exfoliate skin first — a smooth surface gives a more even result. Massage the lotion evenly over clean, dry skin in circular motions. Allow to absorb fully before getting dressed. Wash hands immediately after use. For best results, avoid shaving or waxing for at least 24 hours before application. Apply daily to build and maintain colour. If spending time in the sun, apply a separate SPF product once the lotion has fully absorbed and skin is dry.

A subtle difference is usually visible after the first couple of uses, with a more noticeable glow building over 4 to 5 days of daily application. Apply daily for a deeper colour, or every other day for a more subtle effect.
Gradual formulas are considerably more forgiving than full self-tanners. Exfoliating beforehand and applying in circular motions reduces the risk of patchiness. Apply lightly to dry areas like elbows, knees and ankles where product tends to absorb unevenly.
Freshly shaved skin is more sensitive and open pores and follicles can absorb product unevenly, leading to a dotted or patchy result. Waiting 24 hours allows the skin to settle and gives a more even finish.
No. This product contains no sun protection. A separate broad spectrum SPF is still essential if you're spending time outdoors.
